Abstract
This study concerns 2 patients with bile peritonitis caused by perforation of gall bladder, who
were treated by cholecystectomy, common bile duct exploration and choledocholithotomy at 17th
Army Hospital.
Unfortunately, the patient complained of continuing dull pain at right upper quadrant after the
first operation.
So, we suspect the presence of residual or recurrent stone, follow up study was performed with
T-tube cholangiography.
Marked dilatation of common bile duct was noted but there is no evidence of recurrent or
residual stone in common bile duct or any significant common bile duct structure findings.
Therefore, we are re-explored the abdomen and choledochojejunostomy Roux-en Y procedure
was performed.
And then, the right upper quadrant pain was ceased and patient take the good health thereafter.
